Today, Chengdu is the most important transportation and communication hub, and a key centerof science, technology, trade and finance in south-western China.

Often known as the Land of Abundance by Chinese and the land of panda by the west, Chengdu is one of the rising star cities. Much of China’s culture and traditions is still visible in everyday life of the people here.  In 2008, a deadly earthquake left the city shaken, yet in a matter of years, it has revived itself as a city with a new life.
